Senior Network Engineer / Team Lead (m/f)
Location: Buzin, Zagreb.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Lead the design, planning, and evolution of enterprise network systems (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN) with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security. 
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the network team, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. 
Management of network devices (Cisco, Fortinet, PaloAlto, etc.). 
Implementation of security policies and monitoring of network security. 
Optimization of network infrastructure for high availability and performance. 
Oversee proactive monitoring and performance optimization of the global network infrastructure using advanced monitoring and SIEM tools (Zabbix, PRTG, Splunk, etc.). 
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of high-impact or complex network incidents, acting as the escalation point for the team. 
Collaborate with Group Network Architect, IT leadership, and external partners to develop and enforce global network architecture blueprints. 
Drive the adoption of automation and scripting to streamline network operations and reduce manual effort. 
Preparation of technical documentation and participation in digital transformation projects. 
Maintaining a high level of security and compliance with internal and legal requirements. 
Actively monitoring trends and innovations in network technologies and suggesting improvements. 
Mentoring team members and knowledge transfer. 
Participation in planning and implementing cloud solutions
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) 
SAP knowledge 
7+ years of experience with network technologies in large or complex environments (enterprise, ISP, or data center) 
Proven experience in a senior engineering or team leadership role 
Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), NAT, and ACLs 
Hands-on experience with Cisco (Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/Firepower, ISE), Fortinet FortiGate, and Palo Alto systems 
Knowledge of network segmentation and redundant configurations (HSRP, VRRP, stacking) 
Strong understanding of network security, including IDS/IPS and VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL) 
Ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues 
Experience with network monitoring and SIEM integrations
